Across the water across the deep blue ocean Under the open sky oh my, baby I'm trying Yeah I hear you in my dreams I hear your whisper across the sea I keep you with me in my heart You make it easier when life gets hard
I'm lucky I'm in love with my best friend Lucky to have been where I have been Lucky to be coming home again Oooohhhhoohhhhohhooohhooohhooohoooh
They don't know how long it takes Waiting for a love like this Every time we say goodbye I wish we had one more kiss I wait for you I promise you, I will
I'm lucky I'm in love with my best friend Lucky to have been where I have been Lucky to be coming home again I'm lucky we're in love every way Lucky to have stayed where we have stayed Lucky to be coming home someday
And so I'm sailing through the sea To an island where we'll meet You'll hear the music, fell the air I put a flower in your hair And though the breeze is through trees ??? Move so pretty you're all I see Let the world keep spinning round You hold me right here right now
I'm lucky I'm in love with my best friend Lucky to have been where I have been Lucky to be coming home again I'm lucky we're in love every way Lucky to have stayed where we have stayed Lucky to be coming home someday
Hmm, i should try more different stuffs when i'm outside singapore.. but some things are not within our control.. haha..
1997 msia band tour - Had various performances in shopping malls and had a short practice session with a malaysian school. Mickey mouse march (duno wat variation) i remembered. I especially remembered the time when I was locked in the hotel staircase at night (nottie ys), ran all the way down and was relieved to find an unlocked door at level 6 (which happened to be a restaurant)! Silly me thought I had to spend the night at the staircase! Jumped ard people's bed like the inflated castles in children fun fairs.
1998 aussie band tour - It was my virgin flight to brisbane. Toured around the various themeparks after performing there. Did some stupid dance on a street. Took a pretends-to-be-terrified-by-a-killer-bear photo. Slept in different rooms on different nights. the process of growing to love the tomato soup for breakfast.
2005 redang island - snorkelled. strolled. shot. the journey there is unforgettable too. 13 hours x2 on the bus!!!
2006 mt ophir - my first vertical challenge. my first time taking train too. it turned out more taxing than i had expected. totally underestimated it. caused me to crawl back home. honestly, i still wanna conquer a mountain again... getting addictive thinking of it. fed with camp food. camped in tent. peed in the wild. cried in the rain. almost peed in the raincoat. slept at the train station. why am i smiling now... oh, because i survived... :)
2006 krabi-bangkok - kayak-ed. snorkelled. tortured a jelly-fish. sang for a stranger. swam almost everyday. first time sleeping horizontally on a train. shopped. shopped and shopped. oh, and almost witnessed a fren stepping into a pool. i remb the girls' screams.
2007 taipei - ate the duckie tongue. hot spring-ed. posing funnily at old chang kai shek monument. the sakuras.
2007 hongkong-shanghai-hangzhou - hmm. taking a plane and foreign bus alone. my first reflexology. visited zw's office at wee hours. peed in a toilet cubicle without door. ran to catch the morning train. got cheated. got lost. crossed numerous streams with umbrellas.
2008 msia hotboyskelong - kelonged. fished.
2008 bangkok - *getting tougher but here it goes..* cooked the most amt of steamfood food in an hour. sending wrong signals to the staff. sat in front of a shop on an empty street to eat chicken sticks. getting tortured by ppl poking my foot. watching ppl getting tortured at the same place. bought two huge bouquets of roses. having packet supper food in the hotel room. ate instant mee at 7-11 while waiting for the rain to stop. just regretted not visiting the salsa pubs.
I always thought my next travel destination will be in japan. But now I doubt so because any discussions on it will just stop short. I am considering ah bren's plan to go cambodia/vietnam but I am a little sick of visiting the asian countries (japan not included). Australia seems exciting too!! Especially after I read the Today paper in the afternoon.. i wanna learn surfing and hug the koala bears so much right now!! haha. I didn't forget I wish to learn diving.. but I need to buck up my swimming again. Getting to the spa packages in Batam seems like a good idea too.
There are so many places I want to visit (i havent even included the longggg term travelling plan yet). There is so little will, money and time.. Getting people to commit seems like a bigger problem. Of cos, it is easy to say I can always go with my bf. But he is not the person who will get excited planning or travelling. I hope I can get someone who will get thrilled with me dreaming (e.g.) about travelling to goldcoast and learn surfing there. I'm so sick of theanythingstheudecidetheseeulorthesohowahs.
Perhaps i should visit Genting first... then i might stand a chance to conquer all these places without any worries!!! huat ah~~ hahaha.
For the record, i havent been going out since my trip to thailand. No salsa. No movie. No shopping. Nothing. I've been staying home to complete supernatural season 2 (the 2 boys are cute) and waiting for reborn 85 to release. I feel like i'm turning into a tv geek (watching tv on computers). But it's ok. I did quite enjoy doing it. haha.
Been feeling lazy to upload the bkk photos on multiply. So here's the summary:
i was searching high and low for the warranty card (to no avail..).. :(
the timing isn't just nice for the coming IT show lor.
i need to get the tv fixed before i leave for bkk. in other words, i have 2 choices. find the warranty card or buy a cheap tv to put in my parent's room to tide them over this period.
$_$
the warranty card must be lurking out there!!!! i just saw it about just 2 weeks ago.. Argh..
I almost wanted to give a bad review on this lok-kok looking restaurant near my house... but..
the crabs saved the day!! (the other food sux!!!! err i mean pales so much in comparision!!!!)
the crabs are super YUMMY!!! ~slurps~ *thumbs up!*
perfect match with the beehoon that came along with the dish!!!!
I shall not torture u guys with the glands-simulating photos. (the photos are in my dad's phone and i'm simply too lazy to upload anyway)
The details: Choon Seng Hng Restaurant 921A Upp Bt Timah Rd (Khek Community Guild Hall) 1100 – 2230 6769-1972 --> beside the hindu temple which is beside the prince's florist place..
Remember to call to make reservations. Thankfully, I did..although i had to do it the hard way.... I went all the way to the place to get their number beforehand because little about this restaurant is mentioned online or anywheree... (and i can't rem the name)....
Other crabby flavours: crabs with tang hoon, chilli crabs, crabs with salted egg
oh ya, just a warning, i waited 1 hour for the crabs although i had "preordered" the food when i made reservations. so, try to be early... and according to their standards, 6.30pm is not early enough.
was one of the volunteers who went to help cleaning houses for the elderly at redhill close last saturday. fought battle with the bed bugs. unstained the gaps between the floor tiles. made some new friends. finished lunch while sitting on the void deck's floor.
it was a nice experience.. although noobie me don't really know where and how to start initially.
it was last week news. just took some pics of the article before i threw it away eternally...
wah, this is the first time i went serious shopping for my laodest jiemei's rom.. and we finished it in a single day! *pats pats* good job everyone! of cos, my weird tastes did pose some hindrances in the necklaces choosing part.. and they even threatened teased they'll buy me a yellow gold chain from mustafa... NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO pls. i do prefer gold to silver color.... but not those type of bengish gold chains..
wanna write more abt it but i'm so tired after walking the whole day..
to cut things short... i shall not elaborate the points below..
being 45mins late... (i was battling hard with the hot weather at home k...)
visiting the kinky shops and ignoring the stares from the male customers.
running across bugis for a box to house the pressies.
the writing and muacking on the card at bugis mac.
the inpromptu surprise and good chat at jurong west st 52 cc mac.
*yawns* nice. it's 3am now and end of labour day. i'll resume my labour tmr and run off to bed now.
The last time i went hongkong, i had to travel alone from the airport to jordan area. I prepared myself by running through the route with google earth so I could estimate the busstop to alight to meet my bf and friend..
Now, the coming May, it's no secret that I'm going conquer Bangkok!! Great thanks to its community support. From the satelite images, I'm managed to sift out which are the diediemustgo shopping malls famous buildings in the Pratunam area..
Was distracted and spent sometime understanding the geographical information. Good for gauging walking distance. I'm skeptical and don't trust what is written on some webbies.
Wanted to book The Samran Place initially. But there are no more vacancies. So, our alternatives within the budget are: Baiyoke Boutique, First Hotel and City Inn Bangkok.
From the map, and some analysis... i think City Inn Bangkok is relatively near to almost every shopping malls!! :D~ My friend will be staying at Baiyoke... i'm tempted to join her too.
I'll leave the thinking later.
Ahh, I have included JJ Market and Sampeng Road in the kmz too... it's still in its draft but feel free to get it from me! :)
